An old, but by no means obsolete 1995 Ford Mustang found a new owner for a cool $42,900 earlier this week. It was a low-mileage, engine-swapped SVT Cobra R spec, which explains the price right away.
The owner of the ‘Stang replaced the stock hood cover and aerodynamic cowling with upsized aftermarket counterparts in order to accommodate a massive intake manifold underneath. The intake, in turn, was put in its place because the car received a heart transplant. The 5.8-liter Windsor V8 benefits from upgrade pistons, camshaft and throttle body and churns out up to 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) along with 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque.
A Tremec five-speed manual gearbox conveys the torque to the back end. The suspension setup is completely new and involves Koni adjustable shocks, progressive coil-overs, and new wishbones and stabilizers.
Other than that, the body and the cabin stay stock and in great condition. The mileage counter shows around 4,200 miles (6,760 km).
