The new Ford Mustang Mach 1 is generally expected to premiere later this summer and start shipping in autumn. The latest rumors are saying that at 532 hp (397 kW), it is going to be considerably more powerful than the GT and Bullit versions.
The latest Mustang GT churns out 466 hp (347 kW), while the Bullit manages 487 hp (363 kW) along with 569 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. If the rumor is accurate, then the new Mach 1 is actually on par with the Shelby GT350/GT350R in terms of horsepower. Furthermore, it is claimed that its torque amounts to 610 Nm (450 lb-ft), which is superior to the Shelby’s 582 Nm (430 lb-ft). Only the supercharged GT500 spec remains far ahead with its 770 hp (568 kW).
The anonymous source also reports that the Ford Mustang Mach 1 will feature enhanced engine and brake cooling systems, as well as adjustable suspension. As far as the price is concerned, between 50,000 and 55,000 USD sounds realistic.
