2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E bows with more range, $44k starting price

Ford has prepared its Mustang Mach-E to the next model year. Using more efficient batteries resulted in 1%-7.3% more driving range across the lineup without any further modifications.

According to the manufacturer’s own measurements, the car can now cover between 360 and 505 km (224 – 314 miles) of EPA-rated range depending on the configuration. This is up from 338 – 483 km (210 – 300 miles) of the year 2020 model.

As a result, the standard Mustang Mach-E Select SR RWD now offers 400 km (248 miles) of range. A new spec called California Route 1 ER AWD offers 502 km (312 mils). The Mach-E GT and Mach-E GT Performance remain without range improvements, however, the former still rated at 434 km (270 miles) and the latter at 418 km (260 miles).

Prices for the battery SUV in the United States begin from $43,895.

In other recent news, Ford discovered a software issue in the Mustang Mach-E that could lead to the car entering hibernation mode with no means to start the electric powertrain from this state. Car owners had to have their cars towed to dealerships to have it fixed.
