Ford has minor updates coming for the Euro-sped Mustang Mach-E. All RWD and AWD variants of the car will now be able to tow up to 1 metric ton (2,200 lbs), which corresponds to a middle-sized, glass-fiber fisherman’s boat.
Another update cuts the charging time required to fill the battery from 80 to 90 percent from 52 minutes to just 15. Having said that, owners of low-power home chargers will not feel the improvement. The battery was enlarged slightly from 88 to 91 kilowatt-hours.
The electric SUV enjoys reasonably good sales in Europe. Ford was able to move over 23,000 units within the launch year. By the end of October 2021, the model even managed to outsell the retiring Mondeo sedan.
