Here’s what the Ford Mustang would have looked like in the seventies if we had all-electric crossovers and neural networks back then.
The images were generated by Carscoops. The reporters asked a neural network to depict the modern Ford Mustang the way it would have looked back in the early 1970s. The result managed to grasp the company’s trademark style of that era nicely while completely forgoing the modern-era Mustang Mach-E styling (watch the video and compare for yourself).
The AI endowed the speculative car with a recognizable boxy nose, round headlamps and rather developed rear fenders. It styled the whole thing as a three-door vehicle with a level roofline and large wheels. Overall, we’d say it came rather close to that era’s Bronco.
Interior images reveal a thin three-spoke steering wheel and two front panel humps accommodating what looks like dual dashboards. The two humps are typical for the Mustang lineup as a whole, so once again, good job, electronic brain!
