The iconic Shelby GT350 variant of the Ford Mustang will be leaving the North American car market before the end of the year, Ford press service reports. The performance-packed GT350R will be going, too.
This leaves the 750-hp (559-kW) Shelby GT500 spec at the top of the lineup. The Mach 1 also stays, and it should sell well given that the model was closely based on the GT350.
Unlike the GT350, the Mach 1 will be available on other markets throughout the world, including Europe where Ford has already secured the necessary certificates for its five-liter V8.
