Ford Mustang test mule spied with a big bonnet bulge

A current-generation Mustang Shelby GT350 has recently been sighted with no camouflage on, other than a disproportionately large, covered dome on the hood. What could it mean?

The one thing that is clear is that the car is a test mule of sorts. The last time we saw something similar, it turned out to be a power-dome hood used on Mustang Cobra Jet dragsters. Since a few next-gen Mustang prototypes have already been sighted, it makes sense for Ford to update the Cobra Jet lineup as well.

But the main question that remains is, could it be just a vented hood, or is there something new hiding in the engine department? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
