Ford thinks Mustang owners need to learn how to drive

…sorry about that. Anyway, the newest Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a formidable car to drive on city streets, what with its 5.2-liter V8 churning out 750 hp (559 kW) and 847 Nm (625 lb-ft). Mastering it would not be a trivial task.

This is why the company launches a series of free driving lessons at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, North Carolina, USA. The team of Ford Performance Racing School has devised a series of exercises that the participants will perform on a drag strip and a racing circuit.

The free training course if available to all owners of the latest GT500 and only takes one day to complete. It includes detailed instructions on how to brake properly, how to corner at high speeds, and how to unlock the full potential of the muscle car while ensuring personal safety and safety of those around you.

Those willing to continue the training may book another day and try their skills out with an upgraded Mustang GT.
