Shelby announces the Mustang Bold Edition Super Snake 2020

Shelby, Ford’s in-house performance division, has come up with yet another limited batch of Mustangs. Called the Bold Edition Super Snake 2020, it comes based on another specialty line.

Specifically, the basis is provided by the GT500 Dragon Snake series restricted to just 500 units. A total of 30 coupe and 30 convertibles will be available for customers throughout the United States, although Shelby has been known for making exceptions for well-to-do overseas customers willing to cover the shipment.

So what does the Shelby Mustang Bold Edition Super Snake 2020 have that makes it special, apart from the overlong and sort of immature-sounding name? First, its engine now delivers up to 836 horsepower (623 kW) to the wheels instead of the regular 700 hp (522 kW). Second, the transmission can be six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic. Third, the pony car boasts a Twister Orange paintjob with black accents and an interior trimmed to match. Other than that, everything stays identical to the donor model mentioned above.
