After its announcement in May 2020, the all-carbon Shelby GT500CR Mustang finally debuts on official terms. Classic Recreation asks for U.S. $298,000 for the production car, but you can ditch the costly options to squeeze the total into $265,000.
A team of CR and Speedkore engineers took an original 1967 ‘Stang and scanned it with a 3D scanner to ensure that the carbon copy looks – well, like a carbon copy of it.
The revived muscle car rides on 18-inch three-piece Forgeline rims shod in BFGoodrich Rival S tires. It uses six-piston Wilwood brakes at the front axle and four-piston ones at the rear axle. A petrol engine under the hood delivers 810 PS (800 hp / 596 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) to the wheels through a ten-speed automatic.
No cabin shots have been provided, but we’ve been told the trim consists of Alcantara and leather with occasional red accents. The odometer is new, there is a Kicker audio system, and a Kenwood multimedia unit.
