Shelby American has a busy year right now with four special Mustang editions queued up for launch, including an 825-HP Super Snake Speedster (see video). In the meantime, U.S.-based tuning shop Peregrine Automotive is getting its own version ready to rumble with even more power and style.
The tuner is currently offering an extreme Ford Mustang Revenge GT for sale, a custom car packing 1,200 horsepower (895 kilowatts) and a $250,000 starting price. A total of six such vehicles will be produced, and the auction for the first one will close tomorrow, so better hurry up if you are amassing a collection.
Buyers willing to pay five times the price of the base Mustang get an American pony with hypercar levels of thrust. The engine bay is occupied by a supercharged MMR V8 dialed up to Stage 2 Coyote spec. The upgrade encompasses new cylinder heads, injectors, a high-flow air filter, a throttle body housing machined from billet aluminum, an ultra-wide intake system and a purpose-designed exhaust with three rather odd-looking tailpipes (look at the photos to get an idea).
Other notable upgrades include Brembo brakes, lowered MagneRide suspension, 20-inch Forgeline wheels finished in black and an aero kit with a ‘forged carbon’ look. The overall style leans towards the Shelby GT500 while being considerably more aggressive and confident.
Novelty inside boils down to fine Nappa leather upholstery on the doors and seats, as well as badges and plaques explaining to the uninitiated where all the money went into.
