Ford hints at the Puma ST engine upgrade

Ford has shared a video dedicated to its upcoming Puma ST crossover, which features the development crew imitating tire squeaks and engine sounds. Some exterior and interior details can also be seen.

For one, it looks like the new ST is getting an engine start-stop button, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a new radiator grille design, and LED-based DRLs.

Unofficial sources claim that the performance-oriented Puma will get the same turbocharged three-cylinder engine as the Fiesta ST, rated at 200 hp (150 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the motor should take it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 7 seconds and all the way up to 220 km/h (136 mph).

The premiere date is set on September 24, 2020.
