In early September, Ford showed us a next-gen Ford Ranger prototype wrapped in the usual greysih white vinyl. This week, it made more photos of the truck wearing a much sportier kind of camouflage.
The company points out that it drew inspiration from the Bronco R racecar livery when it came up with the disguise. Aside from looking cool, it should conceal the shapes and lines of the car equally well in daylight and in nighttime illumination.
We are told that the Ford Design studio in Melbourne, Australia, came up with the wrap. The same team produced the early drafts of the new Ranger pickup. There are even a QR code and a hashtag #NextGenRanger on it for everyone interested to explore.
The launch seems to be right around the corner, but actual deliveries won’t begin until May 2022.
