Thailand-based car tuner Wat Ford has decided to experiment around with the exterior of the departing generation of the Ford Ranger by giving it a Mustang-esque vibe. The result may look odd at first, but it certainly is an eye-catcher.
Working with a normal Ranger pickup, the team outfitted it with Force Off-Road wheels finished in black with all-terrain tires, flared fenders, matte-black taillights and what looks like air-ride suspension. The nose in particular does everything to look like a Mustang nose with its similarly shaped radiator grille, bumper with air intakes, and a badge in the middle. The headlamp outlines may have stayed the same, but peek inside and you will discover three LED stripes looking just like the ones of the latest-gen ‘Stang. In case you need any more hints, there are further LED stripes right under the headlights.
The new Ranger hits the spotlight in three weeks, on November 24, 2021.
