Artificially aged Ford Ranger advertises an off-road bike rally

Carmakers often team up with third parties for promotional purposes, and Ford Brazil has an interesting collaboration going with Australian brand Deus Ex Machina.

This Ford Ranger looks old and battered due to all the patina and rust but none of it is real. Nicknamed Rusty Blue, it comes painted in a pale shade of light blue with contrasting rust specks all around, but is all-new beneath the mascara.

Elsewhere, Deus Ex Machina added a rack on the roof, anti-fog lights to the redesigned front end and a few of its signature traits as well. A peek inside the cabin reveals non-standard door panels and other minor modifications.

This is the first collab between Ford and Deus Ex Machina to debut at Swank Rally Brazil, a rally attended by both vintage and modern off-road motorbikes.
