Ford unveils new Ranger pickup

Ford has revealed another update of its internationally sold Ranger pickup line. Australia will be the first to get the refreshed model, followed by Europe, Middle East and so on.

As far as the appearance is concerned, the upcoming Ford Ranger offers differently styled bumpers, LED headlights and radiator grille. It also features finely tuned suspension and an emergency brake system – something that wasn’t available in the previous series, regardless of the specification.

Australian buyers will be able to choose rear-driven vs. 4WD, as well as manual vs. automatic. There will be three diesel engines to select among, a 2.0L unit with 213 hp (159 kW) also found on the Ford Ranger Raptor, a 2.2L engine rated at 160 hp / 120 kW and a 3.2-liter one good for 200 hp / 150 kW.

First vehicles will reach the shores of Australia before the end of the year. Prices remain unknown at the moment.
