Brazilian magazine Quatrorodas reports that Ford is going to use its Camaçari production site to launch two new mid-size crossover SUVs on the national market.
One of these is going to have a coupe-like slanted roof. The names aren’t available yet, but the internal descriptors are BX784 and BX785. As for the market placement and specs, the source reports both will be comparable to the Jeep Compass.
Neither of the SUVs will be as compact as the EcoSport model, mainly because of the different architecture used. On the plus side, this means more legroom for the rear bank sitters, as well as more trunk space.
Quatrorodas believes that the new SUV is none other than the Territory (see the photos and the video), which is scheduled for South America launch next year. Its coupe counterpart will likely emerge closer to 2022.
