New Ford Territory SUV to be released in China

Ford has announced plans to release its Territory SUV on the Chinese market. The company had previously launched a car with the same model name in Australia.

The new crossover vehicle is based on the low-end Chinese SUV Yusheng S330, which sells for just U.S. $7,000. Compared to that one, Ford Territory features a different front part design, has new wheels and boasts some new interior details.

The available options list encompasses an Internet-enabled infotainment system, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, emergency brake, and pedestrian detection.

The engine information hasn’t been revealed yet, but rumors persist that the new Ford Territory will get a 1.5-liter engine rated at 165 hp (123 kW).

The car will debut at the Chengdu International Motor Show coming up this fall.
