Ford has already ushered in the E-Transit van and plans to launch another four commercial EVs before 2024, including the Tourneo Custom, Transit Custom, Tourneo Courier, and Transit Courier. One of them has now appeared on a teaser pic.
The announcement says that the vehicle will debut on May 9, 2022. The name is not specified anywhere, but the headlights are a safe indication that it is the Tourneo Custom. You may browse the attached teaser gallery to see it standing next to the other commercial transports Ford plans to launch soon.
The production will not begin until the next year, however. The Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier will be the last to debut in 2024.
It is also official that the Tourneo Custom will not be based on the Volkswagen MEB architecture. Instead, it will run on the same chassis as its ICE counterpart, with some necessary modifications.
