Steve North, a big motorhome enthusiast from Great Britain, has recently commissioned a Ford Transit Custom campervan with MS-RT. He ended up paying £77,000 (around 100,000 USD) for the job.
Aside from the aggressive-looking body kit and omnipresent logos and badges, the unique Transit sports Xenon headlights, custom wheels, adaptive cruise control, dual tailpipes, satellite navigation and a stylish steering wheel. Inside, the seats are wrapped in white leather with blue stitching used for contrast.
You can easily unfold the rear sofa into a bed. To the right of the sofa is a kitchenette with a stove, a sink, a fridge and a table. Another sleeping area can be found in the roof tent.
The campervan comes powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine rated at 167 hp (125 kW), mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Such cars actually enjoy steady market demand. Just a little while ago, a sale ad went up for what the owner called ‘the world’s fastest motorhome’. The car, essentially a restored 1976 GMC Transmode powered by a Chevrolet 454 V8, came priced laughably low at U.S. $8,700 and sold within mere hours.
