At the Overland Expo West that concluded this weekend, a duo of motorhome enthusiasts unveiled a rather interesting Ford Transit V6 3.5 converted into a perfectly serviceable home on wheels.
Despite its size, the car is said to be quite capable off-road, largely thanks to its meaty tires, reinforced suspension, higher ground clearance, and full underbody protection.
The living area comes with advanced heat insulation and features double-pane insulated windows. It houses a fully stocked kitchen, a dining area and a bedroom, a huge 300-liter (79-gallon) fresh water tank with a boiler, and a smaller tank for used water. Note also the door at the rear end on the photos, which apparently leads to a spacious garage box and storage area.
