Ford GT gets massaged to 1,200 HP

U.S.-based Boden Autohaus has managed to more than double the power output of this 2005 Ford GT, and the result is now listed for sale at a cool $800,000.

In stock form, the supercar came equipped with a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 good for 557 PS (550 hp / 410 kW). Replacing the supercharger with dual turbos from Heffner Performance, adding a superior intake and intercooler, and tweaking the ECU to accept E85 racing fuel let it go all the way up to 1,217 PS (1,200 hp / 895 kW).

The company claims that even on pump gas, their Ford GT slams the wheels with 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW). To manage the power, it makes use of top-of-the-line Brembo brakes, KW V3 suspension parts, and a modified six-speed manual transmission. A custom exhaust system makes the tune-up heard by everyone around.

On the exterior side of things, the one-off supercar can be recognized by its staggered HRE wheels made from carbon fiber and a Nardo Grey wrap.
