China-made Ford F-150 clone hits production

Foton Motor Company has started the production of its new General Mulan truck in Foshan, China. The adorable pink impostor makes no effort to conceal the fact that it essentially copies the exterior of the Ford F-150.

The clone is 5,340 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,895 mm tall with 3,110 mm between the axles. A stretched version will come out later with 5,630 mm of total body length and 3,400 mm of wheelbase.

Engine choices include a 2.0-liter turbo gas mill rated at 238 PS (235 hp / 175 kW) and 360 Nm (267 lb-ft) and two turbo diesels: 2.0L @ 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) and 2.5L @ 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 360 Nm (267 lb-ft). You can pick either six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic for the transmission.
