Foton has updated its largest pickup truck on offer, the Tunland G9. The exterior stayed the same while the interior was seriously redesigned to make use of higher-quality materials, Soho reports. The production is already running, but pre-orders haven’t started yet.
Starting with the cabin, the front seats, the door panels and the center tunnel are all new. The driver makes use of a seven-inch digital dash screen and a 10.25-inch infotainment display with 4G support.
New additions in the tech department include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and Bosch 9.3 ESP. Like before, buyers can choose from a 2.0-liter turbo engine rated at 238 PS (235 hp / 160 kW) and its diesel counterpart capable of 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW). Both are partnered with the same ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system including a Borg Warner transfer case. An Eaton rear diff lock is available for a premium.
Other than that, the two main variants of the truck on sale differ only by their bed size and wheelbase length.
