Chinese car manufacturer Geely has released several photos of its new and still unnamed coupe/SUV model based on Volvo’s CMA tech platform.
The new Geely goes by the provisional name of FY11 and is 4,605 mm (15.11 ft. long). It is thus 180 mm (0.6 ft.) longer than the same-platform Volvo XC40. Despite this difference, both cars share the same 2,700 mm (8.86 ft.) long wheelbase.
It is now official that the base trim will ship with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 177 hp (132 kW). The Sport trim will get a stronger engine with 238 hp (177 kW). A hybrid version based on the aforementioned 1.5-liter engine will enter the market later. Transmission will be semi-automatic regardless of the engine choice.
Geely has promised to reveal more details soon, so stay tuned.
