China-based car manufacturer Geely has shared the first pics of its upcoming Preface – an executive sedan/saloon designed for the international market. Don’t be surprised to see a Volvo in it – the Swedish marque provides Geely with its CMA chassis and tech, and a Volvo ex-designer is partly responsible for the exterior styling.
The demo car boasts red brake calipers, a sporty-looking exhaust with oval tips, and low-profile tires.
Currently, the only engine confirmed for the model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo rated at 190 hp (142 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft), which comes partnered with an eight-speed auto transmission.
The rest of the specs will be revealed when the Geely Preface makes its debut at the Auto China show in Beijing on September 26, 2020.
