Volvo-based Geely Preface reveals interior

After posting some exterior pics of its upcoming Preface sedan earlier this month, Geely now wants us to peek inside.

The images reveal a digital dashboard, a large central display, a gear selector for the automatic transmission, and Bose loudspeakers.

The Preface comes based on the modular architecture known as the CMA, which Geely co-designed with Volvo. Also using the same platform are Volvo XC40 (SUV), Geely Xing Yue (coupe/SUV), Polestar 2 (EV), and a number of Lynk & Co models.

The sedan comes front-axle driven, is 4,785 mm (15.7 feet) long and has a wheelbase spanning 2.8 meters (9.2 feet). It weighs only 1,542 kg (3,400 lbs) and boasts a near-perfect per-axle weight distribution ratio.

The Geely Preface will debut at the Auto China show starting on September 26, 2020, and go on sale before the year end. It will initially be available with a 190hp / 142kW Drive-E turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed auto transmission.
