The new crossover with a simple name “01” by Lynk&Co, a daughter company of Geely, has received over 6,000 order requests within mere 2 minutes 17 seconds from the opening of online sales. Considering that showroom sales in China started a day ago, this looks like an impressive achievement.
The car is built around the CMA platform developed by Geely in cooperation with Volvo. It comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine from Volvo capable of 190 horsepower. Other notable features include LED optics, adaptive cruise control, an autonomous braking system, and a media system with a large touchscreen.
Prices for the new Lynk&Co 01 start from 158,800 yuan. Geely has plans to release the car in Europe and eventually in the U.S.A.
