The Geely Xingyue, also known as the Tugella in some countries, has gained a new version on its domestic market. Called “ePro”, it is a plug-in hybrid spec that offers the most power and costs the most in its range.
The car packs a 15.5-kWh traction battery reportedly sufficient for 80 kilometers (50 miles) of continuous driving. Prices start from 216,800 Chinese Yuan with the state subsidies for EVs already factored in ($32,300 USD at current conversion rates).
The top spec boasts such distinguishing features as LED Matrix headlights, special badges, and a charging port. It houses a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a touch-enabled infotainment display of the same size, and a HUD.
The part-electric powertrain comprises a 1.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 177 PS (175 hp / 130 kW) and 255 Nm (188 lb-ft) of torqur and a single electric motor contributing another 82 PS (80 hp / 60 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft). The total output is reported as 258 PS (254 hp / 190 kW) and 415 Nm (306 lb-ft).
