Geely showcases the Farison Homtruck exterior and cabin in a video

When Farizon Auto, a constituent part of Geely Automotive, announced a livable semi concept named the Homtruck (‘home+truck’), many of us dismissed it as pure fantasy. Apparently, this is not the case.

In a six-minute video posted by Geely, the company’s PR director Ashley Sutcliffe makes a tour of the cabin of a prototype truck. In particular, he shows a washing machine hidden behind a latch on the left side and a whole modular kitchen on the left side, complete with a slide-out table, an induction cooker, a faucet and a set of tableware.

The cabin comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner and a couple of giant displays on the dashboard, as well as a smaller one in the middle of the steering wheel. There is a folding table to the right of the driver and a bathroom with a WC behind the driver’s seat. Finally, an expansive panoramic roof is provided for an overview of a starry sky for those sleeping at the roadside.

Pre-orders are already running, but production will not begin until at least three years later. Farizon promises to deliver an electric version capable of up to 1,100 km (683 miles) of range, a range-extender hybrid, and a methanol version. Prices are not discussed at this point.
