Polish car brand Izera, which was founded by ElectroMobility Poland (EMP) to produce affordable EVs, plans to invest €1,100,000,000 into the construction of a new factory in the country next year. The first cars are scheduled to come out in early 2026 based on the Geely platform.
EMP revealed last November that it was in talks with Geely to license its SEA vehicle architecture to produce two EV models – a crossover SUV named Z100 and a hatchback dubbed T100. Geely also agreed to supply the necessary powertrains.
Earlier plans involved the industrial site in Poland opening for business in late 2023 or early 2024. EMP now says it will be the latter. The factory will employ around 2,400 personnel and will attempt to localize most of the manufacturing in the country. The Z100 SUV will be the first to reach the assembly line.
You may review the gallery below for a glimpse of the cars, but note that the sketches were posted as early as 2020 and the final design is liable to change. Once it has the hatchback and the SUV in its portfolio, Izera plans to add a family car to the list. The specifics are lacking right now.
