Geely has shown the Chinese Ministry of Industry some photos of a new compact van based on the Geely MPV Concept vehicle, which debuted before the wide audience at the last year’s Shanghai Auto Show. The car is still in early development and goes under the provisional model name of VF11.
The Geely VF11 is going to be based on a brand-new, proprietary car platform and come in five-, six-, and seven-seat variants to choose from. Buyers will be able to select between 17” and 18” model-exclusive wheels. Each car will get a panorama glass roof, a set of LED headlamps, a 360-degree view camera system, and a cruise control.
The engine compartment of the new Geely VF11 MPV is going to hold a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 177 hp (132 kW). A model with hybrid drivetrain will be made available as well.
