Chinese car manufacturer Geely has held a presentation in Shanghai dedicated to its all-new crossover vehicle named the SX11. It is the first Geely car to take advantage of a brand-new BMA platform.
According to a representative of the company, the BMA platform is among the safest and most easily scalable in its class. As such, it should be suitable for the production of gasoline, diesel, hybrid and all-electric cars of any configuration.
The upcoming Geely SX11 is 4,330 mm (14.2 ft.) long, 1,800 mm (5.9 ft.) wide and 1,609 mm (5.3 ft.) tall with a 2,600 mm (8.5 ft.) wheelbase.
The car will ship with a 1.5L engine capable of either 130 or 177 hp (97 / 132 kW), depending on the modification. Partnered with a 7-speed DCT transmission, the top trim of Geely SX11 will be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under eight seconds.
The feature list includes automatic parking, cruise control, 5G Internet hotspot, and smartphone control.
