The car in the images was earlier identified in patent filings as the Geely FX11, but sources are now reporting that it will be released under the name ‘Xingyao’ and phase out the current Atlas generation.
It has an edgy-looking front end with segmented headlight units and a mesh grille, as well as unusual-looking taillights with a LED strip running between their vertical sections.
Overall, the car appears to be an evolutionary step from the Vision Starburst (see video) and the company’s current design direction called Energy Storm.
The platform the car is based upon has support for hybrid powertrains. Rumors claim the top spec will run on the same 1.5-liter turbo setup as the Xingyue L/Monjaro, getting 244 PS (241 hp / 179 kW) out of it.
Sales are expected to start in late 2022. We expect the interior to be dominated by a large vertical infotainment system display with an electronic gear selector below. There are no photos of the cabin to confirm anything at this point.
