Geely’s latest CUV exterior leaks through patent database

Geely has uploaded certification photos of its provisionally named G426 crossover SUV to the database of the China Ministry of Industry and IT. This means we can take a look at it well ahead of the official reveal.

The newcomer shapes up to be a more affordable alternative to the latest Boyue/Atlas (see the video). The cars are based on the same unibody platform and even look similar, but the G426 is sightly smaller. Coming in at 4,510 mm (176.2 inches) long with 2,701 mm (105.5 inches) between the axles, it is more on par with the older, first-generation Atlas.

Things look lively in the powertrain department, where a 1.5-liter turbo-four mill toils producing 181 PS (179 hp / 133 kW). The premiere is expected to take place this spring. Rumor has it the production model will be called ‘Coolray L’.
