Geely’s latest take on the Galaxy E5 SUV travels farther on a single charge than ever and costs 3,000 Yuan less than before at just 109,800 CNY ($15,250).
Depending on your chosen configuration, the range gain can vary from 80 to 90 kilometers (50–56 miles). The entry-level 49.5-kWh battery pack is no longer available, replaced with a 60.2-kWh LFP battery designed in the house. It delivers a CLTC-rated range of 530 km (329 miles), a big improvement over the 440 km (273 miles) from before. Paying a premium nets you an even bigger 68.4-kWh pack and 610 km (379 miles) – full 80 km (50 miles) more than before the update.
Aside from the above, Geely has tweaked the suspension for a 20% increase in damping efficiency. It also introduced new shades of blue and green to the exterior palette. The 218-PS (215-hp / 160-kW) electric motor driving the wheels remained the same.
