Geely Galaxy L6 goes on sale in China

The Geely Galaxy L6 is a D-Class sedan that customers in China can already preorder in four trim levels ranging from 128,000 to 158,000 Yuan, CarNewsChina reports.

The car is sized 4,782 mm long, 1,875 mm wide and 1,489 mm tall with 2,752 mm between the axles. It runs on a platform known as e-CMA, an electrified version of Volvo’s CMA architecture.

The powertrain is hybrid and includes two electric motors alongside a 1.5-liter petrol turbo mill. The cumulative output is 390 PS (385 hp / 287 kW) and 535 Nm (395 lb-ft) of torque. A three-speed transmission conveys the momentum. The driver gets four models to switch between: all-electric, range-extender hybrid, intelligent, and max power.

There are only two battery sizes to choose from – 9.1 and 18.7 kilowatt-hours. The former option yields 60 km (37 miles) of range on electricity alone, and the latter gives 125 km (77.7 miles) per charge. With the gas tank maxed out, the range reaches 1,370 km (851 miles).

The company claims that the Galaxy L6 needs 6.3 seconds for its 0-100 km/h sprint and hits its limit at 247 km/h (153 mph).

A peek inside reveals a digital instrument cluster, a 13.2-inch portrait-oriented multimedia screen, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a panoramic roof with two horizontal sections. Air freshener is included in the spec, and ambient lighting supports 256 colors.
