Geely's Geometry G6 presents cabin

Geely will be launching a new electric sedan named G6 under its ‘Geometry’ sub-brand later this year. Judging by these early cabin shots, the newcomer will be nearly identical on the inside to the M6 SUV also slated to go on sale in China before 2023.

Pricing for both models is expected to lie under 200,000 CNY (29,500 USD). Geely only announced the duo earlier this month, posting some exterior photos and passing them off as brand-new cars. A closer look reveals that both cars are, in fact, facelifted and renamed Geometry A (see video) and Geometry C models.

The same applies to the interior. The layout is the same with only a few trim pieces and details changed. These include the dash panel trim, the air vents, the steering wheel, the dashboard and the infotainment touchscreen. The latter will make a switch to Huawei OS and get a vast selection of apps along with a video call feature and a voice assistant. Paddle shifters will simplify gear selection compared to the old rotary dial on the center console.

It is assumed that both cars will continue to be available with a single electric motor rated at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). Traction batteries rated at 54 and 70 kWh will grant between 430 and 600 km (267 – 373 miles) of range, respectively.
