According to AutoHome drawing attention to the latest patent shots, Geely’s Geometry sub-brand is preparing a new car for its market debut. Allegedly called the M2, it is around 3 meters (3.3 feet) long, maxes out at 100 km/h (62 mph), and aims to compete with the ultra-popular SAIC Wuling Hongguang EV on the Chinese car market.
The patent images show a rathe boxy microcar with an upright front end, sculpted body panels and vivid color accents. It looks like the buyers will be able to pick their favorite radiator grille color and wheel size – 13 or 14 inches. No interior shots have been released so far.
At just 3,065 mm (119.7 inches) long with 2,015 mm (78.7 inches) of wheelbase, the alleged Geometry M2 will be nearly identical in size to other similar vehicles already present no the market. The same is true for its powertrain: a single front-axle motor will be making 41 PS (40 hp / 30 kW). Range and other specs remain to be revealed, but the battery is stated as a LiFePo4-type.
It is unclear when the car will be revealed and how much it will cost when it goes on sale.
