According to the certification data provided by Geely, the upcoming plug-in hybrid version of the Xingyue L (Monjaro) SUV will come equipped with two slightly different battery models, but both will reportedly yield up to 205 km (127 miles) of all-electric driving range.
The car has just been registered in the patent database with a 39.6-kWh battery pack weighing 249 kg (549 lbs) and another one rated at 39.8 kWh and 255 kg (562 lbs). It is unclear whether these two options are different enough to justify registering both.
The spec sheet claims the vehicle will spend 5.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers of range on average (44.4 MPG for our American readers). This leaves the mild-hybrid Xingyue L rated at 244 PS (241 hp / 179 kW) the most economical car in the lineup with only 4.8 liter per 100 km (49 MPG).
The PHEV registered today combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor for a total of 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). It also looks different to highlight its electrified nature. The sales start date remains to be announced.
