2021 Genesis G70 wagon spied with post-facelift features

Late this winter, Genesis mentioned a “possibility” of releasing an estate/wagon version of the G70. A mere month after that, the car made its first appearance on a teaser pic. Today, a test vehicle was photographed on a road in Europe.

The G70 sedan, which you can see on the video here, is currently undergoing a mid-generational refresh. Its more family-friendly version spotted today looks like it already has all the latest styling cues, including the two-level headlights and the broad front grille. The rear end may wear heavy camo, but the two-tier taillights and twin exhaust finishers can still be discerned. This, and the brake calipers are painted red.

In all likelihood, the G70 wagon comes too late to get the classic manual gearbox and 2.0L turbo-four; instead, it will likely go auto with a 2.5-liter engine under the hood. Later on, the company plans to add an SUV-shaped GV70 model to the family.
