2021 Genesis G70 facelift is just that

As expected after the mid-life refresh of the G80 and GV80 models, the Genesis G70 received a similar scope of stylistic updates while retaining its engine palette.

The refreshed sedan boasts dual-tier headlights, a pentagonal radiator grille, front fender intakes and new wheels. Its rear license plate is now mounted on the rear bumper, rather than the boot lid.

Changes are scarce in the cabin, where there is a new multimedia system with a 10.25-inch screen instead of the old 8-inch one, a wider selection of online services, and support for OTA updates. As for the digital dash, it has been here for four years now.

The engine range has only been revealed for South Korea so far. Included are the old turbocharged engines: 2.0L (252 hp / 188 kW), 3.3L (370 hp / 276 kW) and 2.2L TDI (202 hp / 151 kW). Some of us had expected the G70 to receive the latest 2.5-liter turbo-four mill of the technically related Kia Stinger, but it did not happen.

Sales in Korea start next month, followed by other markets by the end of the year.
