Genesis has released photos of its second-generation G80. You may have a closer look at the executive saloon in our gallery; the specs aren’t here yet.
The newcomer looks designed in the same vein as the GV80 SUV: dual headlights, backlit air intakes in the front fenders, and a massive radiator grille. The body outlines are markedly more dynamic than those of its predecessor, partly thanks to the slanted roof.
Inside, the 14.5-inch display and the switches also stem from the GV80. The HVAC is similar, too, but the steering wheel is original.
Rumor has it that the two 80’s share most of their engine range as well, given that they utilize the same basic architecture. In all likelihood, the saloon will inherit the 3.0-liter turbo diesel and the gasoline turbos directly from the GV80.
