A number of South Korean media have reported that the upcoming Genesis G80 performance sedan/saloon would get a particularly well-equipped top spec.
Specifically, the car will allegedly get its 3.5-liter V6 T-GDI boosted to 420 PS (310 kW) and 559 Nm (412 pound-feet) of torque. It will get the same eight-speed automatic transmission as the lower specs, the source claims.
The Genesis G80 currently on the market ships with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 304 PS (225 kW), a 3.5-liter one good for 380 PS (280 kW), and a 2.2-liter diesel turbo capable of 210 PS (154 kW).
It is also worth mentioning that the previous generation had a version called Sport, which packed a 3.3-liter six-cylinder mill rated at 370 PS (272 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque. It needed 6.2 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph).
