Hyundai Motor Company has shared some pictures of the second-gen Genesis G80 Sport sedan, exposing its revamped exterior and cabin.
Novelty comes in the form of dark chrome exterior details, black headlight bezels, 20-inch G-Matrix wheels with a dark finish, low-profile tires, brake calipers available in black and red versions, and a new body kit including redesigned bumpers and a rear spoiler. Cavendish Red amends the exterior color palette.
Inside, the dashboard comes in three different styles. The steering wheel has a sporty three-spoke design, and you can choose between red and black trim for the seats, the front panel and the door cards. The black option comes with grey and red stitching options.
Genesis promises to implement four-wheel steering in the new G80 Sport for better hand and stability. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, and the production is set to begin in Q3 2021.
The original executive saloon (RG3, watch the video for details) has been available since last April in RWD and AWD variants. Depending on the market, it can be obtained with 2.5- and 3.5-liter gasoline engines rated at 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) and 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW), respectively, as well as a 2.2-liter turbo diesel good for 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW). An all-electric version was announced this spring as well. It will use two electric motors mounted one per axle, producing 370 PS (365 hp / 272 kW) in total.
