Genesis released the forst photos of its impending G80 Sport update a month ago, and is now following up with images and technical specifications relevant for South Korea.
As expected, the sporty sedan gets 4WS, a preset called Sport+ for rapid acceleration, and a revised suspension formula with new shocks and springs.
Powertrains stay unchanged, however. In South Korea, customers can get a 2.5-liter petrol engine with 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW) and 422 Nm (311 lb-ft) of torque, a larger 3.5-liter one with 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft), or a 2.2-liter TDI worth 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW) and 421 Nm (311 lb-ft). In all three variants, the same eight-speed automatic transmission is used to drive either just the rear wheels or all four.
Compared to the stock sedan, the Sport trim adds 20-inch wheels, special bumpers, an exclusive red paintjob, brake calipers available in black and red, a three-spoke steering wheel, sport seats, and assorted aluminum/carbon fiber décor inside.
