Genesis has come up with its fifth coupe-shaped study in several years. Called the X Concept, it has nothing to do with crossovers: the letter stands for “Mystery”.
The first Hyundai Vision G Coupe show car debuted as far back as 2015 and never made it to the market as is, although the current Genesis G90 model takes a fair bit from it. The latest example looks much more production-ready, though.
The presentation took place both online and during a live event in Los Angeles. The car features an elongated hood merged with the front fenders, a short trunk, large wheels, and plenty of parallel lines adorning its every part from headlights to trim elements. The latter is one of premium automaker’s signature touches.
The cabin for four people sports a curved display, a touch-sensitive center console screen, and a semispherical drive selector.
No technical specifications have been announced aside from the fact that the car is all-electric. Singe Genesis has been waiting for a long time to produce a new coupe, we believe it is only a matter of time before the X hits mass production.
