Genesis announces a switch to all-electric propulsion

Genesis joins the already rather long list of automakers dedicated to the all-electric future of transportation. In a short movie, the company revealed the key points of its new strategy.

All Genesis cars will be carbon-neutral starting from 2025. Aside from BEVs, this means hydrogen fuel cell cars. Hyundai, which has a long history of researching hydrogen technologies, will be revealing its latest achievements in this area in the coming days. We expect these technologies to find use in the Genesis fleet.

By 2030, Genesis expects to have eight pure EVs on its lineup. The goal for 2035 is to become an environmentally safe company with zero harmful emissions from producing cars.

The images revealed thus far tease the upcoming Genesis EVs against a dark background and focus on the recently introduced, battery-powered GV60 SUV.
