When Genesis unveiled these photos of its upcoming GV70 SUV, it promised us to take the car out to public roads for testing in the same “G-Matrix” camo wrap. However, the test mule recorded on video hours ago in South Korea seems to have broken that promise with an impervious black tarp covering it top to bottom.
Overall, we’d say the Genesis GV70 looks much like its big brother, the GV80, up to the same two-section headlights. It is expected to ship with a digital dashboard, a wireless charger for smartphones, and an advanced infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display and OTA updates.
The engine range will likely include 2.5L and 3.5L gasoline options, as well as a single 2.2L diesel. Buyers will be able to choose between RWD and AWD, and the appearance of an all-electric variant in the lineup is all but assured.
The new GV70 should break cover before the end of 2020.
