Genesis GV70 trims & specs revealed

The second Genesis-branded SUV – the GV70 – showed up on photos in late October, but the company never revealed its specs until now.

The car comes with three powertrains: a 2.2L diesel good for 210 PS (207 hp / 154 kW) and 441 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque; a 2.5L gasoline turbo-four mill with 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) and 422 Nm (311 lb-ft), and a 3.5L V6 TT with 380 PS (375 hp / 279 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft). The latter spec sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.1 seconds.

An optional Sport package is available for all these specs with added launch control and a rear electronic diff lock. The drive stays on the rear axle by default, but the six-cylinder spec ships with an on-demand AWD system with a front-axle coupling. Both four-cylinder specs can obtain AWD at a premium.

The suspension is spring-based, and you can opt for adaptive shocks that adjust themselves automatically based on the data sourced from a front-facing camera. AWD specs additionally benefit from a feature called Multi Terrain Control, which offers selectable drive modes.

Equipment includes digital a dashboard, two-zone climate control, ventilated/heated seats, a widescreen infotainment display, and more.

Sales in South Korea start in early 2021; other markets will follow later.
